Born in Hartford, Connecticut and raised in Hollywood, Florida, Robert Fernandez is the author of the poetry books We Are Pharaoh, Pink Reef, and Scarecrow, which were reviewed or featured in dozens of venues and appeared on several year-end best poetry lists. He is also co-translator of Azure, a translation of the work of Stéphane Mallarmé, which was featured in an essay by Alex Ross on Mallarmé for The New Yorker. His poems have appeared in Chicago Review, Conjunctions, Huizache, The Nation, The New Republic, Poetry, A Public Space, Thrasher, Transition, The Yale Review, and elsewhere.
